Grecia

LONDON—Greece and Portugal face a high risk of an economic "slow death" due to their low competitiveness and high budget deficits, Moody's Investors Service warned Wednesday.

While the risk of a "sudden death" in the shape of a balance-of-payments crisis is negligible, the two countries "failed to shore up their competitiveness and budget positions during the good times," and now have "structurally low competitiveness" within the euro zone, and very large current-account deficits, the credit-rating firm said.
